Sacred Grove

London is one of the largest, most diverse, cultural and religious melting pots in the world.

There is however, a distinct lack of spiritual sites, that go beyond religious divides, where the focus is on community, peace and conversation.

A Sacred Grove is such a site. Historically linked to a multitude of people, from Celts to American Indians, Aborigonals, Chinese, Indians and Africans, almost every culture has used sacred groves to be a place of contemplation, celebration and joy, where people can meet, talk and be at one with nature.

Our communities are increasingly fractured, people rarely talk to each other any more and many are disillusioned with society.

Religious architecture is historically exclusive in nature, whereas our site suffers none of these restrictions. Our sacred grove, at the proposed site in Tiverton Green, would be a cathedral built of nature. Built by the community, for all the community to enjoy and make their own.

The grove will be a focal point for community regeneration, fostering social inclusion and community involvement.

The reintroduction of the ancient, global tradition of sacred groves will contribute to the spiritual change that human beings are facing in the eye of this current global ecological and financial storm.

Our aim is to bring a wide range of benefits to our local community, from the economic benefits that such an attraction will generate, to the educational opportunities inherent both in the creation of and reflection of such a place.

We have artists, arborologists, architects, and even accountants, ready to make this grove a place of awe inspiring wonder and expect it to contribute to both the spiritual and economic vitality of its final location, and would welcome your support.

Please get in touch with us or our partner organization on this mission, The Centre for Peaceful Solutions to contribute with your opinions, and help us in our quest to build a sacred grove for the community in Tiverton Green.
